Lot Details
Brass horseshoe motoring mascot mounted on a radiator cap with twin projecting handles and rounded ends. The upright horseshoe features recessed nail detailing and sits on a shaped pedestal. Identified by the collection’s display label as a “Good Luck Mascot”, dated 1913–1919, with reference to Cook Howlison, Dunedin and Invercargill. Displays surface wear, tarnishing and small marks consistent with age. An attractive early motoring accessory with appeal to collectors of radiator mascots and New Zealand automobilia.
